Critical Care Neurology

  • Hello, and thank you for stepping into my digital domain! I’m Dr. Kevin Meier, a Neurointensivist from the great state of Texas, now practicing amidst the stunning landscapes of Utah.  I started out thinking Neurosurgery, then switched to Neurology (initially desiring the outpatient neurology lifestyle) before settling on Neurocritical Care, which I love. I’ve never fancied myself a writer (English class was my nemesis), but I’m driven to sharpen my thinking and share some of those thoughts with others.

I am interested in the intersection of medicine and philosophy, as well as how to use artificial intelligence to improve my life and perfect my craft. This blog is my passion project—a space to share thought-provoking content that bridges the gap between cutting-edge science and everyday curiosity.

Here’s what I plan on writing about:

    • Study & Literature Reviews – Deep dives into research affecting neurocritical-care patients.
    • Philosophical Musings – Early explorations of the mindsets that drive hard work, personal excellence, and decision-making under pressure (yes, some rambling as I find my voice).
    • AI & Emerging Tech – Practical notes from a clinician, not a coder, on how AI can actually help.

Goal: primarily a tool for my own improvement. If you find something useful, even better..
